What to Bring:
All swimmers must bring equipment appropriate for practice: suits, caps, goggles and extra towels. T-shirts, shorts and athletic shoes are required. Kick boards, pull-buoys and other necessary equipment will be supplied by the camp program.
Championship Swimming policies:
Swimmers will always move about the campus with a staff member. They are never allowed to roam the campus by themselves. Some swimmers will go to the pool by University vans. Swimmers will not be allowed to use an automobile while they are at camp. Car keys must be turned in to one of the Directors at registration. Once the session has begun, under no circumstances may a swimmer leave the University Campus without supervision by camp personnel, and signed parental release form (available at registration).
Each swimmer is responsible for all articles issued to or used by him/her (room keys, furniture, etc.) while at Championship Swim Camp or Clinic at UMass. Campers will be billed for all lost or damaged items.
All swimmers enrolled in the Championship Swim Camp or Clinic at UMass are required to comply with the rules and regulations of the University of Massachusetts and the Championship Swim Camp at UMass. Any violation or abuse of these rules will cause immediate dismissal from the camp without refund.
Championship Swim Camp at UMass is not responsible for lost articles or for any personal articles left in the rooms when participants leave campus. Any articles found will be brought to the Swimming Office and kept until 9/1/17.
Emergency phone contacts while the camp or clinic is in session will be distributed at Registration.
Team and Family Discounts:
If 8 or more of your team members sign up to attend a Camp or Clinic you can receive a discount of $10. You must indicate on your registration form your team affiliation for the discount to apply. In addition, we will refund $10 for every child registered from the same family. All discounts will be credited to your credit card or mailed to you after the camp or clinic session has ended.
Payment in full is expected at the time of registration. Included in this fee is a $50 non-refundable and nontransferable deposit. If you need to withdraw your child from the Championship Swim Camp at UMass for any reason, we can issue a refund less the $50 deposit. No refunds will be issued after the camp session has begun.
SWIM CAMP INFORMATION: JUNE 25 – 29
Check in will take place on Sunday, June 25, from 11 to 1 pm, in the Southwest Residential Area at UMass (the exact location and directions will be announced closer to camp dates). Check-in is required for both for both resident and commuter campers.
The first swim session will start after check-in, at approximately 1:30.

There will be no lunch on Sunday, June 25. The first meal will be dinner for residents. Commuters will be provided with lunch each day beginning on Monday, June 26. Residents will be provided with three meals each day beginning with dinner on Sunday, June 25. All meals will be at one of the dining facilities located in the UMass Campus Center. A wide variety of food is provided and the campers are monitored during the mealtimes.
Room keys and/or meal cards will be issued at check-in. If these are lost the campers will be billed for replacement by University Conference Services. Charge for lost room key: $50. Charge for lost meal card: $20.
Housing will be in the Southwest Residential Complex at UMass (the exact dormitory and location will be announced closer to camp dates). Resident campers must be at least 10 years old. Our staff is on duty and in the building whenever the campers are there. Room assignments will be announced at registration time. Room requests are not guaranteed but we do everything possible to accommodate them. There are no triple rooms available at this time, please do not request triple rooms. The beds provided for resident campers are X-Long Twin size.
Commuters Daily Pick-up and Drop-off Information:
Stroke Camp: Pick-up and drop-off will be outside the Boyden Building in Lot 42 (download campus map here). Drop-off time is by 8:30 am and pick-up time is 5:00 pm.
Training Camp: Pick up and drop off each day will be outside the Totman Building in Lot 43. Drop-off time is by 8:00 am and pick-up time is 5:00 pm.
What to bring to camp:
Residents must provide all personal articles including pillow, blanket and sheets, sun block, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste and towels. Also recommended are reading lamp, a fan (the rooms are not air-conditioned), and a reliable alarm clock and/or watch. All campers must bring equipment appropriate for practice: suits, caps, goggles and extra towels. T-shirts, shorts and athletic shoes are suggested for the Stroke Camp and required for the Training Camp.
Kick boards, pull-buoys and other necessary equipment will be supplied by the camp program. Each camper will be provided with a Championship Swim Camp t-shirt.
Check-out will begin at 11:30 am in the Southwest Residential area on Thursday, June 29 (exact location to be announced later). There will be no Camp Closing ceremonies, but each group will have a final meeting. Parents of residents and commuters will meet their children at the announced location to check out. There are no closing ceremonies, parents can met both resident and commuter campers at at the same place as they were checked in.

Lunch will be provided each day beginning on Tuesday, July 3. All meals will be at one of the dining facilities located in the UMass Campus Center. A wide variety of food is provided and the campers are monitored during the mealtimes.
