Bob Newcomb, Co-Director, has been Head Coach of the University of Massachusetts Women’s Swimming and Diving team since 1985. His teams at UMass have been noted for academic excellence and athletic success. The 2001 Atlantic 10 Conference Champion squad also boasted many individual champions. Bob’s experience and dedication are evident by his numerous Coach of the Year awards. He brings a wealth of ability and knowledge to the Championship Swim Camp.
Russ Yarworth, Co-Director, has been Head Coach of the UMass Men’s Swimming and Diving program for over 30 years. During his tenure the Minutemen have won 8 New England championships and 13 Atlantic 10 Conference titles. A twelve time A-10 Coach of the Year recipient, Russ brings his practical experience and strong coaching background to the Championship Swim Camp. He will work primarily with the Training Camp.
| Dave Koritkoski, Head Coach/Group Leader, Dorm Supervisor: ‘Coach K’ is in his eigth year as Head Coach of Boys and Girls Swimming and Water Polo at the prestigious Williston-Northampton School in Easthampton, MA. A former UMass swimming captain and All Atlantic 10 Conference backstroker, Dave is an enthusiastic and motivating coach who works well with swimmers of all levels. | |
| Bill Tyler, Head Coach/Group Leader: A former Western Mass high schoolswimming star and Amherst High School varsity record holder, Bill is now the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving at Elms College. He brings a wealth of competitive swim coaching experience to the Championship Swim Camp and his enthusiasm and attention to detail makes the camp experience truly unique. Bill works primarily with the Training Camp. | |
| Bob DeConinck, Head Coach/Group Leader: Bob is the Head Girls Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo Coach at the Loomis Chaffee School. A former UMass swimmer, captain, and assistant coach Bob works with the Stroke Camp. His knowledge of stroke technique, easy going manner, and energetic attitude create a great environment for the campers in his group. |

| Sean Clark: Head Coach, Group Leader: Sean is the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach at Binghamton University. In 2007 he coached one of his swimmers, David Holmes, to the NCAA Championship meet. A former UMass captain, record holder, and assistant coach, Clarkie’s unique approach to coaching and motivation appeals to swimmers of all ages. | |
| Chuck Dunham: Chuck is the head coach for the Shenendehowa Boys and Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. The Boys team won its first ever New York State Championship in 2009 and is 22-0 with 6 All-Americans in Dunham’s two seasons there. A multiple coach of the year award winner, Dunham previously was head coach for the 2006 WMSSL Champion Amherst Tritons, a USS club team that practices on UMASS campus, as well as assistant coach for the UMASS mens and womens programs. Chuck has had years of experience working with swimmers of all different abilities at various levels and brings enthusiasm plus a positive attitude to all of his workouts. |
