Staff

Bob Newcomb, Co-Director, has been Head Coach of the University of Massachusetts Women’s Swimming and Diving team since 1985. His teams at UMass have been noted for academic excellence and athletic success. Bob’s experience and dedication are evident by his numerous Coach of the Year awards. He brings a wealth of ability and knowledge to the Championship Swim Camp.

Russ Yarworth, Co-Director, has been Head Coach of the UMass Men’s Swimming and Diving program for over 30 years. During his tenure the Minutemen have won 8 New England championships and 13 Atlantic 10 Conference titles. A twelve time A-10 Coach of the Year recipient, Russ brings his practical experience and strong coaching background to the Championship Swim Camp. He will work primarily with the Training Camp.

David Koritkoski

 

Dave Koritkoski, Head Coach of Boys and Girls Swimming at the Williston Northampton School. Associate Dean of Students. Dave is a former UMass swimming captain and All Atlantic 10 Conference backstroker, Dave is an enthusiastic and motivating coach who works well with swimmers of all levels.

 

Bill Tyler

Bill Tyler, Head Coach/Group Leader: A former Western Mass high school swimming star and Amherst High School varsity record holder, Bill is now the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving at Elms College. He brings a wealth of competitive swim coaching experience to the Championship Swim Camp and his enthusiasm and attention to detail makes the camp experience truly unique. Bill works primarily with the Training Camp.

 

Sean Clark

 

Sean Clark, Head Coach, Group Leader: Sean is the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach at Binghamton University. A former UMass captain, record holder, and assistant coach, Clarkie’s unique approach to coaching and motivation appeals to swimmers of all ages.

 

Chuck DunhamChuck Dunham, Chuck is in his 6th year as the head coach for the Shenendehowa Boys and Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. A multiple coach of the year award winner, Dunham previously was head coach for the 2006 WMSSL Champion Amherst Tritons, a USS club team that practices on UMASS campus, as well as assistant coach for the UMASS mens and womens programs.

 

 

The Championship Swim Camp is proud to have the following swimmmer/coaches on staff this year: Karissa Gorman–a 2013 Graduate of Binghamton University,  KyleVieira– UMass Men’s Swimming class of 2016, Zoe Judd–UMass Women’s Swimming 2015 and the School Record Holder in 50 & 100 Freestyle, Pete Sacco–2013 UMass Men’s Swimming Graduate who holds the School Record in 400 Free Relay, Sam Taylor–UMass Women’s Swimming 2015, Mariesa Negosanti, Dani Sekurski–UMass Women’s Swimming 2013, Teaghan Abrams–Springfield College Swimming 2013, Kait Gass–UMass Women’s Swimming 2010, Kate Orefice–Elms College Women’s Swimming 2010, and Leo Wright–Binghamton University Men’s Swimming 2015. Our trainer this year is Luke Williams.
